Where we ship
We currently ship to mainland UK only — that's England, Wales and mainland Scotland.
We're not able to deliver to:
- Northern Ireland
- The Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and Isles of Scilly
- The Scottish Islands (including the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland)
- BFPO addresses
- Anywhere outside the UK
If your postcode falls outside our delivery area, you'll see a message at checkout before you pay.
Options and cost
| Service | Cost | Arrives |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Delivery — Royal Mail Tracked 48® | £3.99 — free on orders over £50 | 3–5 working days |
Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 48 parcels within two to three working days, but we quote 3–5 to give a little breathing room at busy times.
When your order is sent
We pack and post Monday to Friday. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day usually go out the same day; anything later, or over a weekend or bank holiday, is sent on the next working day.
The 3–5 day estimate starts from dispatch, not from when you place the order.
Tracking
You'll get an order confirmation straight away, then a second email with your Royal Mail tracking number as soon as your parcel is on its way. You can follow it at royalmail.com/track-your-item or in the Royal Mail app.
Royal Mail delivers parcels Monday to Saturday. If your tracking hasn't updated within 48 hours of dispatch, get in touch and we'll chase it for you.
If you're not in
Your postie will try to leave your parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place if it's sensible to do so, and will post a "Something for you" card telling you where it is. If they can't, your parcel goes to your local Royal Mail Customer Service Point, where it's held for around 18 days before being returned to us.
You can also manage deliveries yourself through the Royal Mail app — nominating a safe place, redirecting to a neighbour, or rebooking for another day. Where you've asked for a parcel to be left somewhere, it's at your own risk once it's been left there.
Missing parcels
Royal Mail treats a Tracked 48 parcel as lost once it's 10 working days past its due delivery date. If yours hasn't turned up by then, email hello@fifty3northclothing.co.uk with your order number and we'll put it right — either a replacement or a full refund.
Wrong address
Please double-check your address at checkout. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, we'll refund the order minus the delivery cost, or resend it once redelivery is paid for.
Returns
Free returns, always
Changed your mind? Returns are free, through Royal Mail Tracked Returns. You won't pay anything to send an item back.
How long you have
Tell us within 14 days of your order arriving that you'd like to return it, then send it back within 14 days of letting us know.
How to return something
- Start your return by emailing returns@fifty3northclothing.co.uk with your order number and the items you're sending back.
- We'll send you a Royal Mail returns label and a QR code. Print the label at home if you can — if not, the QR code will be scanned and printed for you at the drop-off point.
- Repack the items. If you're reusing our original packaging, cover the old delivery label or turn the bag inside out, so the new barcode is the one that gets scanned.
- Drop your parcel at whichever suits you:
- Any Post Office branch or Royal Mail Shop — most are open evenings and weekends
- A Collect+ Parcelshop — corner shops, newsagents, petrol stations
- A Royal Mail parcel postbox or locker — open 24/7, for parcels up to 45 x 35 x 16cm
- From your doorstep — book a free Parcel Collect through the Royal Mail app or website and your postie will pick it up. You can ask them to bring a printed label if you don't have a printer.
- Keep your receipt or scan your label in the Royal Mail app for proof of postage, and hold on to it until your refund lands.
Condition of returned items
Items should come back unworn, unwashed and with all tags still attached. You're welcome to try things on the way you would in a changing room — but if an item comes back visibly worn, damaged, marked with makeup or fragrance, or with tags removed, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.
What we can't take back
For hygiene reasons we can't accept returns on underwear or swimwear where the hygiene seal has been broken, unless the item is faulty.
Sale items / gift cards are also non-returnable.
Refunds
Once your return reaches us we'll check it over and refund you within 3–5 working days, and always within 14 days of the parcel arriving back. Refunds go to your original payment method, and your bank may take a few more days to show it.
If you're returning your whole order, we'll refund the standard delivery charge you paid as well. If you're keeping part of the order, the delivery charge stays.
Exchanges
We don't process direct exchanges — it's quicker to return your item for a refund and place a new order for the size or colour you want, so you don't miss out on stock.
Faulty or incorrect items
If something arrives damaged, faulty or isn't what you ordered, email hello@fifty3northclothing.co.uk with your order number and a photo. We'll arrange a replacement, repair or full refund at no cost to you, including any delivery charges.
This is separate from our change-of-mind returns policy and isn't limited to 14 days — your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply for much longer, including the right to reject a faulty item within 30 days of receiving it.
Your legal rights
Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
